Educational Objectives of Programme

General Objectives

To produce hydraulic engineers with professional capacity, political and ethical qualities, a sense of responsibility, a sense of organization and discipline, and good health to meet the high technical level requirements of the locality, the Mekong Delta region, and Vietnam labor markets.

Specific Objectives

To equip learners with professional knowledge and awareness of responsibility:

1. To equip learners with professional knowledge in hydraulic engineering, and have the ability to survey, design, construct, manage, and exploitation of hydraulic engineering projects

2. To equip learners with fundamental knowledge in related majors: Planning, Transportation Construction, Civil Construction, Water supply & drainage, Water resource and Environment.

3. To equip learners with political qualities, ethics, awareness of responsibility, professionalism, and services.

Higher education after graduation

- Study at a higher level (Master's or Ph.D. level) in Hydraulic Engineering, Civil Construction, Transportation construction, or other related majors.

- Participate in short-term advanced training courses: Appraisal engineering, supervisor, Construction project management, Procurement operations, etc.

Career prospects

After graduating from the Hydraulic engineering program, learners can take on many different roles and positions (manager or technical officer) in agencies, companies, and enterprises. The following:

  • Departments, management boards of basic construction, such as Departments of Construction, Construction Project Management Boards at all levels, Economic - Technical - Infrastructure Divisions of the Districts, etc.
  • Consulting companies to survey, design, construct, and manage construction projects.
  • Management of basic construction in agencies and production enterprises.
  • Centers and laboratories specialized in construction.
  • Research institutes, universities, colleges, and professional schools in the field of construction.
  • Private construction contractor.
