The Faculty of Civil Engineering

INTRODUCTION

Regarding the history of development, the Faculty of Civil Engineering - College of Engineering was formerly the Department of Civil Engineering under the Faculty of Technology, Can Tho University, established under Decision No. 353/DHCT.TCCB.96 dated October 4, 1996, with the mission of training in Rural Construction and Delta Hydraulics. In 2000, the Civil and Industrial Construction major was allowed to enroll the first course and was officially renamed the Civil Engineering major in 2018.

Today, the Department of Civil Engineering has officially developed into the Faculty of Civil Engineering, under the College of Engineering, Can Tho University (according to Resolution No. 72/NQ-HDT dated September 29, 2022). The Faculty of Civil Engineering currently has many years of experience in training in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering – high quality program at the undergraduate level. In addition, the Faculty has opened two new majors: Architecture in 2023 and Master's Civil Engineering in 2024 to meet the society's demand for human resources.

TEACHING STAFF

The Faculty of Civil Engineering currently has 24 functional members, of which 23 lectures, including:

  • PhD: 12 (4 associate professors)
  • Master: 11 (2 are doing PhD)
  • Teaching staff: 01

Most of the teaching staff of the Faculty of Civil Engineering are trained from prestigious universities in Vietnam, Asia, Europe, ... with high teaching and scientific research capacity.
